Budapest Pálinka Festival 2013

The annual Budapest Pálinka Festival is on at the moment and continues until Sunday if you are visiting Budapest this weekend why not take a look.

The Budapest Pálinka Festival takes place between Thursday 16th May and Sunday 19th May in 2013 with 2013 being the year of the sour cherry (following on from plum and apricot in previous years). Pálinkas and other delicacies made of this fine Hungarian fruit will play the starring role.

Once again Erzsébet Square, in the V district of Budapest will play host to 400 spirits, 25 exhibitors and the Pálinka of the Year. Erzsébet Square is located in front of the Kempinski Budapest and the Marriot Budapest.

The price includes a glass. Daily tickets are valid for multiple entries during opening hours and cost 2000HUF. Festival passes, allowing you entry throughout the Budapest Pálinka Festival are available for 5500HUF. Visitors will receive the wristband and the glass upon first entrance.

The Pálinka of the Year (a blend of the finest Hungarian pálinkas) will be available for tasting at the Budapest Pálinka Festival for the first time as well as live music at the following times…
